Film: testing continuous ventilator Brakel® Microlab at Tata Steel

« Back

Tata Steel in Velsen-Noord (NL) is currently renovating the entire roof of one of its halls. A good indoor climate within which heat is continuously and effective removed is important for the company. That is why Tata Steel wanted a natural ventilation system that works continuously, even when it‘s raining. Brakel Atmos installed rainproof Microlab Plus continuous ventilators with high flow-passage capacity. These have been tested this week at the location.

Film

During the roof renovations, the existing pent-roof, with integrated ventilators, was removed and a flat roof was installed across the building. Brakel Atmos installed 12 Microlab Plus continuous ventilators in this roof.

Labyrinth construction with high flow-passage capacity

The labyrinth construction Brakel® Microlab Plus is a rainproof, natural roof ventilator that has been designed for industrial spaces where permanently high internal heat must be eliminated. This low-maintenance labyrinth construction is equipped with a shut-off section in 8 of the 12 installed systems. The shut-off sections ensure that there are no unwanted energy losses during industrial standstills and similar.

Testing on location

The Microlabs were tested on location in Velsen-Noord.
