De Goede Doelen is a sustainable building in Amsterdam

« Back

Brakel Atmos is installing glass roofs with integrated ventilation

The more than five hundred employees of the organisation of the three lotteries known as the Goede Doelen Loterijen (Nationale Postcode Loterij, VriendenLoterij and BankGiro Loterij) are expected to move into a renovated building in Amsterdam in mid-2018, which will boast the highest-achievable sustainability label: BREEAM Outstanding.

Comfort and transparency

Comfort and transparency play an important role in the former office building on Beethovenstraat, which has been empty and neglected for years.

Glass roofs to entrance and atrium

Above the entrance and over the central atrium, Brakel Atmos is installing a total of 184 glass roofs in three different sizes: ±1.5 x 1.5 m, 3 x 3 m, and 6 x 6 m. Outside, the glass roofs are uninsulated, inside they have a durable triple glazing construction. The glass is mounted on timber supporting structures.

Flat structural opening windows

Brakel® Ventria window ventilation is integrated into the atrium for ventilation purposes. These are being structurally implemented in connection with the flat location.
